About the Writers Walk

The quotes take the form of contemporary concrete plaques and inlaid metal text on wooden ‘benchmarks’ and are located around the beautiful Wellington Waterfront.

Making the Sculptures

The plaques have been designed by the internationally renowned typographer Catherine Griffiths and the benchmarks, three of them seats, by well-known Wellington architect Fiona Christeller.
